The legal provisions on High School are clear when they define their importance for the education of the individual, preparing him for work, for life and society. For being a phase characterized by many changes, it is an important period in the students' schooling process, in which transitions occur both in age − increasing maturity − and in the responsibilities assigned to them in meeting the priorities of their lives. In this perspective, this study aims to investigate the performance and school dropout in the city of Goiânia, and the actions implemented by Seduce in the High School of the State Education Network that aim to improve performance and minimize school dropouts. It is a qualitative-quantitative research. The development of this research had the mapping and characterization of the actions implemented by Seduce aimed at improving student performance and with the measures have been taken to minimize school dropout in the High School of Goiânia State Schools in the period from 2011 to 2015. There was a survey of the performance and dropout rates of schools in the municipality, other educational indicators and a semi-structured interview with school principal. Analyzes were carried out in the exclusive high schools of the network, in the municipality, in order to understand if, during the implementation of these actions, the indices of performance and school dropout were modified. Finally, an investigation was carried out on the perception of the managers of 02 (two) schools, regarding these actions developed by Seduce. The main conclusions were the need for more planning, more active management, greater school attendance, more investments in training, need for concern about the quality of education and the frequent presence of the family in the school environment
