CRÉDITO RURAL E GERAÇÃO DE RENDA NO MUNICÍPIO DE MORRINHOSGO: O CASO DO PRONAF

Abstract

From the 1960s agribusiness has great relevance in the national and international context in generating income and jobs, going to require differentiated credit policies to finance the production in the field, as in the Brazilian case with the creation of the National System of Rural Credit ( SNCR) in 1964, the Rural Credit in 1965 and later in 1996, the creation of the National Family Agriculture Empowerment Program - Pronaf. The purpose of the latter was to promote the sustainable development of the rural sector, made up of family farmers in order to provide them with the increase in production capacity, creating jobs and improving income. This study sought to assess the effects of granting rural credit of the National Family Agriculture Empowerment Program - Pronaf on the generation of income and quality of life of he family farmer Morrinhos/GO municipality from 2002 to 2012 was discussed in theoretical concepts credit, family agriculture, rural credit, development and quality of life. It was raised statistic and a questionnaire containing 36 questions to a sample of 90 farmers in the municipality of Morrinhos / GO, which made it possible to ascertain that there was an improvement of income and the small family farmer quality of life during the study period due to a combination of policies public, organization of farmers associations and cooperatives and credit policies to small producers.
