PARQUES URBANOS EM GOIÂNIA E AS POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS PARA O MEIO AMBIENTE

Abstract

This study aims to expose the social and environmental contribution about urban parks located in the city of Goiania, Brazil. Literature, articles, official documents of International Organizations and World Conferences were researched and studied, glimpsing theorical concepts of “green areas”, which guides brazilian rules and laws conducted by government politics for public parks in Brazil, specifically at Goiania city. The focus of this job was to approach the relationship of citizens with the infrastructure and urban equipment settled in three parks, taken as study object, considering the neighborhoods of different social and intelectual level, seeing through their profile and the individual perception about utility and activities that parks can offer them. The obtained data with the inquiries allows measuring the sensitive difference between the facilities and intensity of parks using, the sort of users, and above all, the main necessity and wishes from the interviewed people, specially at the parks sited far from Goiânia’s downtown, and at suburbs, places that notably are ignored, presenting difficulties and deficiences that decreases their daily goals.
