A EXPANSÃO DA CULTURA CANAVIEIRA E O CRESCIMENTO ECONÔMICO NO MUNICÍPIO DE GOIANÉSIA – GOIÁS

Abstract

This master thesis of multi and interdisciplinary approach aims to investigate the current situation of the expansion of the sugarcane sector in the city of Goianésia forward to the intrinsic economic relations there through. That said, aimed to highlight the expansion of sugarcane cultivation in the state of Goias to elucidate the socio-economic growth in the City of Goianésia/GO. This achievement is due in part to increased demand in recent decades, for fuel ethanol, as a reflection of the growth in sales of biofuels vehicles. Several studies have shown that livestock, rice, corn and soybeans, which in the past had its growth in the Goias Cerrado gradually are making room for the cultivation of sugar cane, which sets overlapping plantings. By analyzing the process of development of the municipality of Goianésia, it appears that, at present, it has the sugar cane agriculture and its main economic activity. Thus, in order to demonstrate the development process of the sugarcane activity and its impact on the region Goianésia opted for the research and descriptive literature type, with a qualitative approach. To do so, presented economic indicators, especially those related to production activities, which evidenced that despite the negative factors, the expansion of cane sugar had a contribution in the economic growth of the municipality of Goianésia
