| ???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: | O presente trabalho objetivou identificar os fatores de transformação da realidade econômica da Região Sudoeste de Goiás com enfoque especial para o município de Rio Verde, pólo de produção agropecuária que vem se destacando como pólo de atração de projetos agroindustriais. A modernização da agricultura e a ocupação de terras transformaram as paisagens rurais do Estado de Goiás em grandes lavouras tecnificadas. A produção agrícola regional ganhou destaque com as culturas de exportação como soja, milho e algodão. Os aspectos ambientais e sociais das áreas ocupadas não receberam a devida atenção. A inserção do cerrado nas áreas produtivas e o rápido desenvolvimento agrícola do Estado de Goiás foram impulsionados por programas governamentais na microrregião do Sudoeste de Goiás, região que vem se consolidando como importante pólo de crescimento. |
| Abstract: | This study aimed to identify factors of transformation of economic reality in the Southwest Region of Goiás with a special focus for the city of Rio Verde, a center of agricultural production that stands out as a magnet for agribusiness projects. The modernization of agriculture and land occupation transformed the rural landscape of the State of Goiás in major crops technicality. The regional agricultural production gained prominence with export crops such as soybeans, corn and cotton. The environmental and social aspects of the occupied areas did not deserve the attention. The insertion of the cerrado areas in agricultural production and the rapid development of the State of Goiás were driven by government programs in the micro region of south-west Goiás, which has been consolidated as an important growth pole. |
