A RENTABILIDADE DA PRODUÇÃO DE HORTALIÇAS ORGÂNICAS: UM ESTUDO DE CASO DA FAZENDA NOVA ERA GAMELEIRA DE GOIÁS

Abstract

Organic farming in the state of Goiás has presented itself as one of the options for family farm and, as such, its identification in the agribusiness context becomes relevant when it is noticed that the family producer is assuming the attitude of a manager and analyst in order to optimize the results of their property. Hence, the identification of the disbursement with fixed and variable costs, as well as the expenses and revenue, becomes a tool to potentialize this producer's business. In order to support the agribusiness management in the family farm environment, becoming familiar with the rentability of food production was set as the aim of this work. For this purpose, it was analyzed the cost of organic farming, making use of carrot and beetroot samples cultivated within, respectively, 75 and 105 days. The sample was collected at Nova Era farm, in Gameleira de Goiás. In the thoretical framework, it was stablished a dialogue among family farm concepts, organic farming, agribusiness and costs ,and agricultural activity expenses. The data collected from the property were used to analyze what the best option of productive cycle is and, lately, they enabled the identification, within the cycles, of the most suitable option to improve the economic result to the property owner
