ESTUDO PARA O ESTABELECIMENTO DE UM CLUSTER DA CADEIA PRODUTIVA DO LEITE NA REGIÃO DO ALTO PARAGUAI/MT - 2014

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors for the establishment of a cluster in the milk production chain in the municipalities that make up the middle region South-Central Mato Grosso, in the Upper Paraguay region in the State of Mato Grosso. A road map was drawn up to search these, to establish which of them exist in the region and which would be needed to create and develop in order to deploy a cluster in this middle region. These analyzes factors were: technological capability, knowledge and technical expertise, human resource development, proximity and integration with suppliers, capital availability, access to specialized services related to companies producing machinery and less complex technical tools, network intensity relationship, social infrastructure, corporate culture, global vision, leadership and innovation. Information and data were used by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and the Annual Social Information (RAIS). Field research was conducted, which was fundamental to know the regional reality. The main result is that effectively there is sufficient milk production, but lack or are deficient of these other essential factors that should be made to establish the milk cluster in the region.
