MUDANÇAS DO CÓDIGO FLORESTAL E SUA APLICAÇÃO NA REGIÃO DE COLINAS DE TOCANTINS

Abstract

This work approaches the changes on the Forest Code and its applicability in the Colinas of Tocantins‘s zone. The theme arouses the interest to analyze the changes that the Law number 12.651/12 performed in order to preserve the environment. The research addresses the conceptual and normative aspects of the environment , the historical evolution of Forestry Codes and their recent updates. Includes an analysis of the application of Federal and State standards of environmental protection through the state agency Tocantins Nature Institute , aiming to formulate initiatives aimed at improving the application of environmental standards , the functioning of the state agency , the activities of agents social and public environmental education. The methodology includes literature review author and standards on environmental legislation , as well as documentary and field research in the state agency Naturatins to understand its functioning , its environmental agents and the knowledge that these are the laws contained in the Forest Code and the effectiveness of supervision to perform on the application.
