O CURTUME CURTPOL: DESEMPENHO EMPRESARIAL COM SUSTENTABILIDADE EM BROTAS/GO

Abstract

The objective of this research is to verify through the case study as the Tannery Curtpol treats the environment, since it is a polluting company. The company is located in the city of Brotas, Goiás, in the west of the country and from this study also investigate whether there are sustainability actions, seeking to verify the production and management conditions for solid waste and how is the water treatment in this industry. The case study will analyze how the Tannery Curtpol could possibly contribute to the industrial site development with less environmental impact, breaking negative predispositions that directly affect the company's business, regard to the generation of industrial waste and procedures to reduce environmental impacts. Considering that most of society condemns this kind of enterprise because of its high levels of pollution due to the use of highly toxic chemicals products that affect directly or indirectly the health, security and the wellbeing of the population, social and economic activities, esthetic and sanitary conditions of the environment and the quality of environmental resources. The Tannery Curtpol is a subsidiary of a leading group in the country, which operates in the following leather tanning. Thus it seeks to establish a tannery's relationship with the environment and its relationship to human.
