MEIO AMBIENTE E EDUCAÇÃO: PAUTAS PARA ELABORAÇÃO DA AGENDA AMBIENTAL ESCOLAR

Abstract

Environmental education aims to contribute to the formation of citizens so that guided their actions vis-à-vis the nature without compromising natural resources. For this, have been created instruments such as the Global Agenda 21, National Agenda 21 and Place, aiming at sustainability of the planet Earth. In Brazil, the Ministry of environment (MMA) and the Ministry of education and culture (MEC) launched the Program Let's take care of Brazil with schools, which provides for the drafting of Agenda 21 Escolar or School Environmental Agenda, as a preventive of awareness of the new generations about the need for preservation and conservation, in a sustainable way, the environment in which we live. In this sense, the purpose of this investigation is to indicate guidelines for the preparation of an environmental Agenda at a public school, in the city of Imperatriz, Maranhão. To do this, it uses as methodological option research participant, since the researcher takes as object of study the reality in who plays professionally as a teacher, seeking to understand the relationships that the members of the school community with the environment in which they live. As a result, this research aims to introduce subsidies that contribute to the practice of educational activities aimed at the establishment of ecologically correct relations, resulting in better quality of life for the population of the district investigated.
