IDENTIFICAÇÃO DE CLUSTERS AGRÍCOLAS E PECUÁRIOS POTENCIAIS: UMA ESTRATÉGIA PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO REGIONAL DO ESTADO DO MARANHÃO

Abstract

The economic concentration in the state of Maranhão has caused major consequences of a social nature . Thus, there is the need to seek alternative policies , but they are already part of the state of daily life and empower them to change the reality of being one of the worst HDIs the country. In this sense , the work has the main objective to map the potential agricultural and livestock clusters in the state of Maranhao, through the collection of official secondary data and then use the System tool of Geographical Information - SIG, the cartomática Software Philcarto . As a result we have that for all products surveyed there are potential clusters in the state and with appropriate public policies can change , effectively , the condition of people's lives for the better throughout the state .
