ANÁLISE DA RENTABILIDADE E COMPETIÇÃO DE CULTURAS PELO USO DA TERRA NO MUNICÍPIO DE RIO VERDE-GO

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyse the profitability of the soy bean, corn, sorgum comparatively with the sugar cane, as well as the competition process between them due to the use of the land in Rio Verde, in the harvest 2009/2010. The methodology used to check the profitability of the cultures was the methodology of calculus of cost of production received from Conab. The spreadsheets of costs were built with the data from four researched properties that cultivated the cultures mentioned above in the agricultural year. As the sugar cane is a culture with a cycle of four years, it was applied data of historical series of cost of the grains of Conab and another form Orplana, especially for the sugar cane. The price of the grains was offered by Faeg and the sugar cane by Consecana. Analysing a historical series of costs of production, gross income and economic residue of the commodities, it was clearly observed that in the harvests 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 the soy bean and the corn from leaf harvest presented a negative result, on the other hand, the sugar cane presented a positive result of 100% in all of them compared to soybean and corn and/or sorgum together, only in the harvest 2009/2010 in the four properties studied
