A LOGÍSTICA REVERSA COMO FERRAMENTA DE GESTÃO AMBIENTAL: O CASO DO LIXO ELETROELETRÔNICO NA CIDADE E EM INSTITUIÇÕES DE ENSINO PÚBLICAS DO MUNICÍPIO DE CERES-GO

Abstract

It is extremely important to consider, in the studies about environmental management, reverse logistics and electronic waste, due to their special characteristics, the possibility of providing tools, management tools and models that simplify the reality, in order to provide the managers relevant solutions to the performance under current circumstances and increased competitiveness. When it comes to environmental issues and sustainability, the level of complexity increases the importance and need for synchronized actions at all levels and sectors, seeking expanded and integrated sustainable solutions. The most contemporary planning models fail to keep pace with the urban evolution of our municipalities, the development process, the programs and projects, the plans, and the low popular participation within this management process, have suppressed the expected positive impacts due to operational and structural investments in environmental issues. Considering the political and legal aspects, companies, government in all spheres and citizens, are now under the control of law 12.305 / 10 (National Politic of Solid Waste - PNRS), which provides for sustainable development in all biomes, and its compliance must be used to designate through shared responsibility the reconciliation of the current economic model, the preservation and maintenance of the available natural resources, thus contributing to social, economic and environmental transformations. Therefore, the objective of this work is to evaluate, within the technical, structural and operational aspects, how Ceres - Goiás municipality, has been dealing with the collect and selection of electronic waste, and how it has moved in order to comply the legislation, and also understand the level of knowledge of the population about their responsibilities. The research is based on the application of questionnaires about electronic waste, to students of public schools located in the municipality, as well as, interviewing municipal managers, more precisely from the Municipal Secretariat of Environment and Sanitation (SEMMAS), then analyzing the data obtained through the application of questionnaires and the respective interviews. This work presents the results of research on the role of reverse logistics in environmental management, related to the electronic waste produced, to make it clear to managers and readers how to perform the correct dispose of waste and to help them to take effective action, but without the pretension to exhaust the subject.
