DO SONHO À REAL CONQUISTA: ESTUDO DO PROCESSO DE OCUPAÇAO, DESOCUPAÇAO VIOLENTA E CONDIÇÕES DOS ASSENTADOS DO CONFLITO URBANO DO PARQUE OESTE INDUSTRIAL, DEZ ANOS DEPOIS (2005-2015)

Abstract

This study proposes to do a historic rescue of the biggest urban occupation in the history of Goiás, wich happened in 2004, at Parque Oeste Industrial region, in a big particular area. The occupation has had 4 thousand families and its disengagement, widely covered by the media, had been done by Goiás´s Military Police, within violence records. In the occasion, the families were taken to sport arenas and then to a provisional area in Setor Grajaú. They lived in canvas shack until the definitive area, at Residencial Conquista, wich had been built for these people, but became ready just in 2014. This task pretends to unity all the parts of a grave urban conflict, wich produced a social fracture, consequence of Goiânia´s historic process of social segregation. The data were collected by a bibliography research, reports done by the media and camp research within residents and employees of Residencial Real Conquista. This work is justified by the theme´s big social impact, considering that housing is one of the principal human rights, as is mentioned in the Federal Constitution. On that way, the present paper pretends to contribute to reflections and diagnoses about urban occupation process and housing access, proposing policies for a better shelter condition of the popular layers.
