A GESTÃO DOS RECURSOS HÍDRICOS NO ESTADO DE GOIÁS: DO DESCOBRIMENTO DO BRASIL À IMPLANTAÇÃO DO COMITÊ DA BACIA DO RIO MEIA PONTE

Abstract

This work had as evaluating the actions implemented in Brazil, and more specifically in the state of Goiás, for water management. In this regard, it focuses to Federal Ordinary Law nº. 9433, of 1997, responsible for creating the National Water Resources Policy and establish the National System of Water Resources Management, and its relationship with the State Ordinary Law nº. 13.123/1997, which regionalized, in the State of Goiás, such activities, by establishing the State Water Resources Policy and organizing the Integrated Water Resource Management, and created to the Watershed Committee of Rio Meia Ponte, the which was used to assess the practical applicability of various management mechanisms arranged in the aforesaid goiana Law of Waters and its regulations, as the Decree. nº. 5580, of 2002, and the Internal Rules of the mentioned Committee. Furthermore, it held the analytical comparison between the State Ordinary Law nº. 13.123/1997 and 26 (twenty six) related Laws, edited by all Brazilian federal entities for the management of its water resources. All this dynamic rummage served to capture and point out that the Water Resources Policy of the State of Goiás now is outdated, and that that state entity responsible for providing the necessary support for the performance of activities of the committees in question has not played their role, in little or nothing assisting such organizations, this work.
